A trivia site is only as good as its answer key. If you lose a round because our data was wrong, we have failed at the one job a trivia site has. Here is how we try not to.

How questions get made

Every question, grid, and puzzle on Sportagories is researched and hand-checked before it ships. We verify facts against primary sources: official league sites, team pages, and the leagues' own published statistics. When sources disagree (and in sports record-keeping, they sometimes do), we go with the league's official record and note the judgment call internally so we can revisit it.

Stats have a shelf life

Sports data moves. Players get traded, records fall, rosters turn over every summer. So any content built on current stats is pinned to a labeled season rather than pretending to be timeless. When a season ends, we re-verify that content against the new reality and update it. If a stat in a game looks stale, that is a bug by our own definition, and we want to hear about it.

Corrections

We get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we fix them, and we would rather hear about a mistake from you than let it sit. If you spot a wrong answer, a misspelled name, or an outdated fact, email support@sportagories.com with the game and the question, and we will check it against the sources and correct it if you are right. Players have caught real errors this way, and the site is better for it.

Who does the work

Every game here is built and tested by our own two-person team, the same people described on the About page. We play everything ourselves before it goes live, and we keep playing after, which is how a lot of rough edges get found. We are not a content farm, and no game ships without a person on our team having played it and vouched for it.
