About Sportagories

Sportagories is a sports trivia site for fans who like a real challenge. Play Weekly Sportagories, classic quizzes, grid games, Connections-style puzzles, geography rounds, player pickers, and more, all in one place, and all of it sports. Nobody comes here to warm up with Renaissance painters. People come here to play sports trivia. Full stop.

Who we are

All of Sportagories is made by a husband-and-wife pair. That's it. That's the org chart. We're avid sports fans and hopeless tech enthusiasts, and our idea of a perfect night out is a pub quiz (ideally one where we're arguing over the tiebreaker).

Behind that is a family of athletes. Dinner was a postgame show: somebody won, somebody lost, somebody got benched, somebody hit a walk-off. Practices before school, tournaments that ate whole weekends, a life spent on the field and in the stands. We built the games we always wanted to play.

Why only sports

Sports trivia isn't memorization. It's memory. Every question is a door back into a game you watched, a season you lived through, a player someone at the table wouldn't stop talking about. Getting it right is recognition: proof that moment mattered enough to keep.

Our sports geography games make that plain. A blank map isn't blank if you made the trip: the highway exit, the cheap parking lot three neighborhoods over, the walk up to the gates. You either carry that map in your head or you don't.

The big trivia sites do a little of everything. We did the opposite on purpose. Focus is the feature. A steakhouse isn't limited because it won't make sushi. When you go all-in on one thing, you get to go deep enough that the fifth question actually gets hard.

What that means for you

No investors, no committees, no quarterly roadmap reviews. When you email us at support@sportagories.com with an idea, the person reading it is the person who can ship it, sometimes that same week. We play our own games every day (current household record: disputed), so quality control is built in. We won't out-catalogue the giants. We'll out-care them.
