Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Sportagories, operated by Lake Tech ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the site, creating an account, or purchasing Sportagories Pro, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Questions: greg@laketech.com.

The service

Sportagories is a sports trivia website offering free games, optional Pro features, account stats, leaderboards, and community content. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You may not share your account or use another person's account without permission.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Cheat, automate play, or manipulate scores or leaderboards.
• Harass others, post illegal or abusive content, or misuse community features.
• Scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the site or its infrastructure.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Sportagories Pro

Pro subscriptions are billed through Stripe. Pricing, billing intervals, and renewal terms are shown at checkout. You can manage or cancel your subscription from your account. Fees already paid are generally non-refundable except where required by law or stated otherwise at purchase.

User content

If you create or share content on Sportagories (for example community quizzes or profile details), you keep ownership of that content. You grant us a non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute it as needed to operate the service. You represent that you have the rights to share what you post.

Intellectual property

Sportagories, its branding, game formats, and site materials are owned by Lake Tech or its licensors. Team names, logos, and other sports marks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and trivia purposes. You may not copy or redistribute our materials without permission.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information. By using the service, you also agree to that policy.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free gameplay, or that trivia content is always complete or current. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lake Tech and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) $50.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
