About Grid: Ice Legends

Grid: Ice Legends is a free NHL grid: a 3x3 board where every square sits at the crossing of a row clue and a column clue, and you must name an NHL player who satisfies both. Original-Six dynasties and modern kings. Can you fill the ice with legends?

You get 9 guesses, one per square, and no answer can be used twice. Common picks fill the square; rare, deep-cut picks earn extra style points. This board is rated Hard, and skate a clean sheet.

The row and column clues are listed below so you can plan your board before you open it. The answers stay hidden until you play.

How to play

  1. Open the board and pick any square: it must match both its row clue and its column clue.
  2. Type a name; matching is forgiving about accents, punctuation, and common aliases.
  3. Each answer can only be used once on the whole board.
  4. Fill all nine squares for a perfect board, then share your results.
