NBA MVP Grid

NBA MVP winners by era and conference. Fill nine squares with nine different names.

How it works

  1. 1. Tap a square. Each one sits where a row clue meets a column clue.
  2. 2. Name an NBA player who satisfies both clues.
  3. 3. You get 9 guesses in total. Miss a square? Take another swing at it. Every miss is tracked, and no player can be used twice.

How this award grid works

This NBA MVP Grid uses regular-season MVP awards from 1979-80 through 2023-24. Rows use the season's ending year: 1979-80 belongs in 1980-1999. Finals MVP awards do not count.

Conference squares require an MVP won for a team in that conference during the row's era, not merely a career appearance in that conference. The repeat-winner column requires an MVP in the row's era and at least two career MVPs through the 2023-24 season; those career wins can span eras. Save versatile winners for the tighter squares because each name can be used only once.
